Roster
Your employee data inside Array HQ — who's on the team at every site, connected to the metrics and goals that drive performance.
The operational problem
Most operators manage their workforce roster in one system, track performance in another, and handle rewards in a third. When none of these systems share an employee identity, it's impossible to tie a goal hit to the person who earned it, or to know which site's team is growing or shrinking without manual reconciliation.
How Array HQ solves it
The roster connects your employee data to everything else in Array HQ — goals, rewards, points, and performance metrics. When an employee is on your roster, the platform knows who they are across every feature. Goal attainment credits the right person. Rewards reach the right team member. Reporting rolls up by site, by role, by team.
How it works
How roster data gets into the platform
Your employee roster arrives through one of two paths:
- API ingestion. Your payroll or HRIS system pushes roster data to Array HQ's collection endpoint. New hires, terminations, and role changes flow in automatically on your schedule.
- Internal sync. For organizations already using Array's operational systems, roster data is synchronized internally without additional integration work.
In both cases, the platform processes the data and creates employee records linked by a unique identifier (customerEmployeeId) that ties each person to their operational metrics, shifts, and rewards across the platform.
What the roster contains
For each team member:
- Name, role, and assigned site.
- Link to operational metrics (goal attainment, points earned).
- Connection to your source system via the employee identifier your payroll system already uses.
How the roster connects to other features
| Feature | How the roster enables it |
|---|---|
| Goals | Goal attainment is tracked per employee — the roster defines who earns credit. |
| Rewards and points | Points are issued to roster members. No roster record, no points. |
| Leaderboard | Ranking is scoped to roster membership at a site. |
| Reporting | Rollups by site, role, and team use the roster as the membership source. |
Keeping the roster current
Roster data refreshes on the cadence you configure — daily, weekly, or on-demand via the API. When employees join or leave, the next sync updates their status. Historical records are preserved for reporting continuity.
