//Recruiting charges explained

How //Recruiting generates charges on your invoice — outcome fees per hire and how advertising credits are consumed.

The operational problem

Recruiters need to understand how a successful hire translates to a billing event. Without that visibility, the finance team gets questions every invoice cycle about what "outcome fee" means and why some hires are free.

How Array HQ solves it

//Recruiting billing is outcome-based — you pay when a hire succeeds, not for posting jobs or running campaigns. The first three hires on any account have their outcome fee waived, giving you time to see results before paying for them.

How it works

The outcome fee

When a hire is successfully placed through //Recruiting, an outcome fee is charged:

10% of the first 100 hours of salary for that hire.

Example: You hire a Warehouse Associate at $18.50/hr. The fee basis is $18.50 × 100 = $1,850. The outcome fee is 10% of that: $185.00.

This appears on your next monthly invoice as a line item showing the role title and hourly rate.

First 3 hires waived

All HQ plan tiers include a promotional waiver: outcome fees are waived on your first 3 successful hires. This applies regardless of tier (Starter, Growth, or Pro).

Hires #1, #2, and #3 do not generate an outcome fee. Starting with hire #4, the standard 10% rate applies.

What does NOT generate an outcome fee

  • Posting a job — no charge. Job posting is included in your platform fee.
  • Running sourcing campaigns — charged against your advertising credit balance, not as an outcome fee.
  • Candidates who don't convert — no charge. You only pay on a successful hire.
  • Screening and scheduling — included in your platform fee.

How credits relate to hiring charges

Job advertising credits and outcome fees are separate:

Activity What pays for it
Sourcing and advertising campaigns Advertising credits (pre-paid balance)
Successful hire placement Outcome fee (billed on next invoice)

Credits fund the advertising that generates candidates. The outcome fee is charged when one of those candidates is successfully hired.

On your invoice

Outcome fees appear as individual line items grouped under //Recruiting:

Hire #4 — Warehouse Associate ($18.50/hr × 100 hrs) $185.00
Hire #5 — Forklift Operator ($21.00/hr × 100 hrs) $210.00

The hire number resets with each contract term.
